Customer requirements | The aim of this project was to design two complete automated lines for the production of Backlites and Sidelites. The request was to have a backlites line which was able to perform three printing processes and to operate with small glass sizes and very irregular glass shapes. Both lines had to be easy to use and maintain and equiped to produce high quality printed glasses for the OEM market. |
Supply description
The Backlites line was composed by three Silk Screen Printing machines Series G 100×160 which had been equipped with the most advanced Edge to Edge System. This line was capable of producing 340 backlites/hour with an outstanding repeatability precision of 0.08mm.
The Sidelites line was composed by two Silk Screen Printing machines Series G 100×130 which granted a productivity of more than 800 Sidelites/hour and were able to print Asymmetrical glasses as small as 200×300 mm.
All the printing machine were outfitted with Broken Screen Detection Unit, Automatic Asymmetrical Centering System, Automatic Screen Alignment and Digital Proportional Valves to control and grant the ink thickness. Both lines were based on the Recipes System Technology which allow an extremely fast change over.
